Scholarships

Guru Kalgidhar School has a scholarship committee which meets to decide on how financial aid works. Prospective parents, (whose sons have successfully passed the entrance examination and interview and are offered a place) are required to complete a form which is available in the admissions office. The form requires parents to submit a detailed report of their financial affairs, including joint family income, in order for the school to ascertain whether they are justified in providing financial support to the parents. The form is comprehensive and has been designed to ensure that the school is able to allocate its resources wisely and effectively, so that they reach the most needy parents and does not provide financial support in the form of discounts to parents who do not need it. Financial Aid ranges from limited financial support to awards worth 100%+ to support parents who would not be able to afford to send their son to Guru Kalgidhar School.

Under the humanitarian grounds, Orphans can study without paying  any Admission fee, Tuition fee, Transport fee and any other charges.

School also provides uniform, books, notebooks to these students.

Eligibility criteria –

• Student is orphan
• Student has no property on his or her name / there is no or very less source of income.

Again under the humanitarian grounds, If a parent dies who earns for the family, school doesn’t charge any fee from such student and student can study till class 12th without paying any fee.

Eligibility criteria –

• Student is existing student of this school
• There should not be any source of income or very less income of the family after the death of a parent.

It is based upon the candidate’s performance at the entrance examination and subsequent interview.The school conduct a Scholarship Examination for the new students in February and march every year . Student has to score good in academics every year to take benefit of the scholarship once admitted in the school. Based on merit ranking in this examination, two categories of scholars may be identified for the following scholarships:

Eligibility criteria –

• Students scoring 90% and above in Scholarship test will get 100% scholarship. Student will not be charged any admission fee, Tuition fee. However few charges may be charged like  transport charges, board registration charges and if any other charges comes up.
• Students scoring 80 % and above in scholarship examination will get – tuition fee waiver of 50 %.

We do offer scholarship for achievers in sports as well. If someone has a national level certificate , school offers 100% scholarship to such student.

 

Our school management believes education is right of everyone. With our little help students can live their lives happily by getting good education.

Currently there are more than 200  students who are taking benefits of these scholarships.
